About a year ago I wrote a short essay featuring Robert F. Kennedy, and in revisiting it a few days ago on RFK’s 99th birthday, I felt saddened once again by his tragic death, which hit my 21-year-old self like a sledge hammer in 1968.
Also, in re-reading the essay, I was inspired yet again by Bobby’s life and legacy. So I thought I’d revise the essay a bit and put it here on Whole New World. In these tough times, as many of us struggle to come to terms with entering Trump 2.0, I hope you will find, as I did, a hopeful message in the life of one of my most revered role models.
