Tuesday’s result was both unexpected and, of course, a hard shake-up of my reality. As it was and continues to be for many if not most of us. How could I have so badly misread the pulse of my fellow citizens, I keep asking myself.
I’m seeing a lot of interesting commentary about what this means, what we can and must learn from this setback, and how and where we go from here. I have just started working on an essay on this Big Subject, and will share it when it’s completed. Still thinking and absorbing.
I’ll also be doing more reading/listening/reflecting, paying some overdue attention to other tasks and people, getting a little R&R … etc.
But the dream of a Whole New World, and my faith in our ability to create this world, is still alive if not-seeming-too-well.
